Defending champions India will compete in Group A with West Indies, Sri Lanka, and hosts Malaysia at the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, which starts on January 18, 2025. The tournament, featuring 16 teams and spanning 41 games, will conclude with the final on February 2.

The event will take place across four venues in Malaysia. Bayuemas Oval in Selangor will host all Group A games and the final, while the Dato’ Dr. Harjit Singh Johor Cricket Academy (JCA Oval) in Johor will stage Group B matches. Borneo Cricket Ground in Sarawak will host the Group C fixtures, while the UKM YSD Oval in Selangor will stage the Group D games.
This World Cup marks the debut of Samoa in any age division World Cup, placed in Group C with New Zealand, South Africa, and a yet-to-be-determined Africa qualifier. Group B includes England, who were runners-up in 2023, along with Pakistan, Ireland, and the USA. Group D features Australia, Bangladesh, Scotland, and an Asia qualifier, while Group A has India, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia, who are also debuting in the tournament.
The tournament will kick off with six matches on the opening day. India will start their campaign on the second day against West Indies. Prior to the main event, 16 warm-up games will take place from January 13 to 16.
Following the group stage, the top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage, where they will play teams from the other group, carrying forward their points and net run rates. The top two teams from each Super Six group will move on to the semi-finals.
