Thomas Tuchel has hinted at the possibility of extending his tenure as manager of Bayern Munich beyond the current season, stating that “everything is possible.”

Initially set to depart the club this summer, Tuchel’s future has come under scrutiny following. Bayern’s continued Champions League campaign, despite missing out on the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen.

With Bayern still in contention for European glory, speculation has arisen about whether Tuchel should remain in charge. Despite top target Xabi Alonso’s decision to stay at Leverkusen and Ralf Rangnick declining the opportunity to replace him. Tuchel has not ruled out the idea of a U-turn.

When asked about the possibility of staying on, Tuchel remarked, “This is an agreement, so this can’t be changed. Well, you can change every contract by mutual consent because we had a contract as well and then we agreed on ending it early, so everything is possible. But the answer is the same: the agreement stands and the agreement exists.”

Amidst rumors linking him with a potential return to the Premier League, particularly with Manchester United reportedly interested. Tuchel’s history of disagreements with club executives has raised concerns for potential suitors. Despite this, Tuchel’s focus remains on his current role.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag, linked with United, remains confident in his position. Expressing his commitment to the team’s progress and asserting his belief in the support of the club’s leadership.

“I’m here, I’m under contract for three seasons, so I don’t care,” ten Hag affirmed. “I am in this process, I’m only focusing on the process, so I don’t care what’s going on around me. I have had many talks with Sir Jim Radcliffe, also with Sir Dave Brailsford and others in that group. So I know where we are talking about and I have a strong belief and I feel that they believe in me.”

Despite the uncertainty surrounding managerial appointments, both Tuchel and ten Hag remain dedicated to their respective roles and focused on their teams’ performances.
