The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a 17-man squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand in Pakistan later this month. The squad includes the return of Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, who recently ended their retirements, along with promising talents such as Muhammad Irfan Khan and Usman Khan, who have impressed in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Furthermore, Abrar Ahmed, experienced in Test cricket, earns a spot and may debut in white-ball cricket for Pakistan.

Leading the team will be captain Babar Azam, with a squad comprising a blend of seasoned players and emerging stars. The selection reflects the PCB’s strategic approach to assembling a competitive side for the series. The squad also includes five non-travelling reserves, providing depth and cover for the squad, including Mohammad Wasim Jnr.
