In the ongoing Test series against England, young Indian batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has been in sensational form. Partnering with Rohit Sharma at the top of the order, the left-handed batsman has amassed a remarkable 655 runs with an impressive average of 93.57 and a striking strike rate of 78.63. As he gears up for the fifth Test in Dharamsala, Jaiswal stands on the cusp of breaking one of Virat Kohli’s notable batting records in the match.

Currently, Kohli holds the third position on the list of highest run-scorers for India in a bilateral series, having accumulated 692 runs. If Jaiswal adds 38 more runs to his tally, he will surpass Kohli, securing himself below the legendary Sunil Gavaskar in this prestigious record.

Jaiswal’s exceptional form has been evident throughout the series, highlighted by consecutive double centuries in the Rajkot and Visakhapatnam matches, both of which India convincingly won. With the series already sealed, India aims to further assert their dominance by clinching victory in the final dead rubber, set to commence on March 7.
