Former Indian cricketer and legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar fulfilled his civic duty by casting his vote in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections. Tendulkar arrived early at a polling station in Mumbai, accompanied by his wife Anjali and daughter Sara. Sporting a cheerful floral shirt, he demonstrated his commitment to responsibilities both on and off the field.

As a National Icon for the Election Commission of India (ECI), Tendulkar took the opportunity to urge citizens to participate in the democratic process. “I have been an icon for the ECI for quite some time now. My message is simple: vote. It is our responsibility,” he stated, while also appreciating the smooth arrangements at the polling station.
After voting, the Tendulkar family proudly posed for the media, displaying their inked fingers. Their presence emphasized the importance of exercising one’s right to vote. Mumbai witnessed a flurry of notable faces doing the same, with Bollywood celebrities and filmmakers joining the early morning rush at polling stations, happily posing for cameras.
Sachin, who retired in 2013, remains a revered figure both on and off the field. His unmatched cricketing achievements include 15,921 runs in 200 Test matches and 18,426 runs in 463 ODIs, earning him the title of the “Master Blaster.” Notably, he remains the only player to score 100 international centuries.
Beyond cricket, Tendulkar continues to inspire by sharing personal moments and actively championing causes close to his heart. Moreover, his participation in the elections serves as another example of his unwavering dedication to setting the right example. In doing so, he reminds fans that responsibility doesn’t end at the boundary lines but extends into every aspect of life.
