FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025 Brand Launched in Shenzhen

The FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025 officially unveiled its visual identity today, marking a significant milestone for Asia’s premier women’s basketball tournament set to take place from July 13-20, 2025, in Shenzhen.

The brand reveal ceremony at Shenzhen Arena featured key basketball figures, including FIBA Executive Director – Asia, Hagop Khajirian. The new logo prominently showcases the silhouette of the Women’s Asia Cup trophy, emphasizing key basketball elements like the ball and rim. The design blends Shenzhen’s tradition and innovation, with purple symbolizing the city’s culture and the power of women, while orange and blue reflect the colors of Duhang and traditional Asian culture.

Khajirian highlighted Shenzhen’s rich basketball history, noting its successful hosting of the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup earlier this year and its status as the first Chinese city to host a FIBA women’s event in 2004.

Xu Lan, Secretary General of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), praised the city’s vibrant basketball culture and anticipated that the upcoming event would further solidify Shenzhen’s reputation in the sport.

Zhou Tianlong, from the Shenzhen Municipality’s Sports Industry Development Department, expressed commitment to innovative preparations, aiming to showcase the youthful energy of the city on the international stage.

China, the defending champions, ended Japan’s five-title streak in the 2023 Women’s Asia Cup held in Sydney. The excitement for the 2025 tournament is already palpable as preparations ramp up for this landmark event in women’s basketball.
