Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova has pulled out of the upcoming Indian Wells and Miami Open tournaments due to a persistent back injury 😢. The world No. 16 has not competed since November, as she continues her recovery 🏥.
🔙 Lingering Injury Woes
Krejcikova, who stunned the tennis world by winning Wimbledon last year 🏆, initially suffered the injury during the Asian swing of the WTA Tour 🌏. She was visibly struggling at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, where she still managed to reach the semifinals.
After skipping the Australian Open 🇦🇺 in January, the 29-year-old Czech hoped for a return but has now decided to extend her break for proper rehabilitation ⏳.
🔄 Replacement & Tournament Dates
With Krejcikova’s withdrawal, Austria’s Julia Grabher will take her place in the Indian Wells main draw 🎟️.
📆 Tournament Dates:
📍 Indian Wells: March 5 🏜️
📍 Miami Open: March 18 🌴
Fans will now have to wait a bit longer to see Krejcikova back in action on the WTA Tour 🎾🤞. Wishing her a speedy recovery! 💙💪
