Pedro Acosta remains unfazed by the uncertainty surrounding KTM, emphasizing that his focus is solely on winning as he prepares for the 2025 MotoGP season.
KTM officially launched its 2025 campaign alongside Tech3 on Thursday, doing so amid concerns about the manufacturer’s financial stability. Despite the uncertainty, Acosta, who has been linked to potential moves elsewhere in 2026, insists his primary role is delivering results on the track.
Pedro Acosta: ‘It’s Not My Job to Worry About KTM’s Situation’
During media debriefs, KTM restricted its riders from directly addressing the company’s situation. However, when asked if the off-track distractions had been difficult to ignore, Acosta told:
“In the end, it’s not something I have to think about. That’s the job of the factory, of Pit [Beirer] and the management. We are just focused on being fast on track.
“The biggest help we can give to everyone is if we are winning. We are calm, and it’s not my job to think about this.”
A Breakout 2024 Season Sets the Stage for More Success

Acosta burst onto the MotoGP scene in 2024 with KTM’s GASGAS-backed Tech3 outfit, securing nine podium finishes across both Grand Prix and sprint races. He narrowly missed out on being KTM’s top performer, finishing just two points behind future teammate Brad Binder.
The young Spaniard frequently contended for victories last season but fell just short. Now, with a factory KTM seat, Acosta believes he has the experience and resources to reach the top step of the podium.
“This is the change I was fighting for. Many times last season, we came close to that first win while fighting for podiums.”
“Now, I feel more experienced, more composed. I have an incredible team around me—mechanics, engineers, and the entire support system.”
With a newfound sense of composure, Acosta is confident that his first MotoGP victory is only a matter of time.
“The key now is to stay calm. The win will come soon.”
