🏁🔥 Marc Marquez Takes Thai MotoGP Pole Ahead of Brother Alex: “Now Comes the Important Part”

Marc Marquez will begin his first MotoGP race as a Ducati Lenovo rider from pole position 🏆, setting the fastest lap in Buriram ahead of younger brother Alex Marquez and reigning champion Francesco Bagnaia.

🔴 Marquez Feels the Pressure but Delivers

After topping pre-season testing and Friday practice, Marc’s pole was expected but still came with pressure. His move to Ducati marks a fresh start as he looks to end his four-year title drought. 💪🏍️

🗣️ “Super happy to start this way,” Marquez said. “When you arrive in an official team, there’s pressure, especially with the best team at the moment. But I feel good, I’m riding well. Now comes the important part: The Sprint and GP Race.”

Marc edged out Alex by just 0.146s, setting up a Marquez front-row battle 🔥.

💬 Alex Marquez Confirms His Speed

Alex proved his pre-season pace wasn’t a fluke, securing second place and avoiding front tyre issues in the scorching Thai heat 🌡️.

🗣️ “These two guys (Marc & Bagnaia) have something extra, but you never know. I’ll fight, but first, I need to build a solid base this weekend,” Alex said.

🏎️ Bagnaia Recovers to Complete Front Row

🏁 Bagnaia had to battle through Q1 after suffering a controversial yellow flag penalty and obstruction from Franco Morbidelli. The Ducati ace took a gamble, saving a fresh tyre for Q2 and securing third place.

🗣️ “The first white hair on my head comes today!” joked Bagnaia. “It wasn’t easy, but the strategy worked.”
