McLaren has taken the lead among Formula 1 teams by revealing its new color scheme for the 2024 season. The Woking-based team showcased the fresh livery on their 2023 F1 car. While maintaining their iconic papaya color, McLaren incorporated black and hints of chrome. Eliminating the previous blue elements from their palette.

The livery features chrome touches, including sponsor OKX’s logo and driver numbers. Chrome colors were a prominent part of McLaren’s scheme from 2006 to 2014, making a return at 2023 British-Grand-Prix with-Google.
CEO Zak Brown expressed excitement about the design and anticipates seeing it on the track in the upcoming season. McLaren aims to build on the positive momentum from the latter part of the previous season, securing nine podiums. One Sprint win, four Sprint podiums, and achieving a world record pit stop time of 1.8 seconds.
Brown is confident in the unchanged driver lineup, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, and the team’s progress following organizational restructuring. The MCL38, McLaren’s 2024 car, is set to be unveiled on February 14, leading up to pre-season testing at Bahrain International Circuit on February 21-23.
Team Principal Andrea Stella, who led the team through a successful 2023, emphasized commitment to reaching the front of grid. He acknowledged the significant offseason work, including infrastructure upgrades and personnel changes. Stella praised the team’s unity and highlighted the ongoing support from commercial partners and fans.
The 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix on March 2 marks the beginning of McLaren’s campaign, and Stella is eager to see the exciting driver duo in action. Entering his sixth F1 season, Norris is resolute in extending team’s momentum and contending at the forefront of the grid.
As McLaren gears up for the new season, the CEO and team principal express optimism about achieving their objectives and making a strong start in Bahrain.
