Lionel Messi has expressed his gratitude to Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham after receiving a unique pair of Adidas Predator boots, co-designed by the former England captain. Adidas created the boots to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic Predator line, a brand that David Beckham famously wore throughout his career.
Messi, who is gearing up for the upcoming MLS season, shared an image of the boots on his Instagram story with a message: “I already have them at home!! Thanks @DavidBeckham.” As Messi prepares for another season with Inter Miami, the club aims to challenge for the title under the guidance of new head coach Javier Mascherano.
Inter Miami had a promising season last year, winning the Eastern Conference, though Atlanta United eliminated them early in the playoffs. Looking ahead, the club is set to strengthen its squad with major signings in the transfer market. Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly their top target. De Bruyne, whose contract expires at the end of this season, will be free to negotiate with non-English clubs starting in January.
Co-owner Jorge Mas has confirmed that the club is ready to break spending records to enhance their roster. Following the sale of midfielder Diego Gomez to Brighton for a club-record fee, Mas revealed that Inter Miami will have an “unlimited” budget for new signings.
“We are going to utilize every roster mechanism available to us to build the best team possible for 2025,” Mas said. “We will compete in multiple competitions such as the Concacaf Champions League, Club World Cup, and Leagues Cup. There is pressure here to win, and that expectation will only grow.”
Mas further emphasized the club’s commitment to assembling a world-class team, with no financial restrictions on player acquisitions, “We are going to bring in the best players from around the globe, continue winning, and build this club into a premier footballing force,” he added.
With a focus on strengthening their squad and expanding their global reach, Inter Miami is preparing for an exciting new chapter in the club’s history.
