The franchise announced on April 3 that LSG’s fast bowler Shivam Mavi would miss the rest of IPL 2024 due to injury, following their recent victory against RCB. Mavi, who eagerly awaited his return after sitting out the team’s first three matches, shared his regret in a heartfelt video message posted by the franchise.

In his message, the 25-year-old conveyed his disappointment at not being able to contribute to the team due to his injury but remained optimistic about his recovery and future prospects. Despite his absence, Shivam Mavi urged fans to continue supporting LSG and expressed confidence in the team’s abilities to succeed in the ongoing IPL season.
Mavi’s departure is undoubtedly a loss for LSG, considering his significant contribution to the team’s bowling attack. Mavi’s absence in LSG’s lineup, following his acquisition for a substantial sum of Rs. 6.4 crores in the IPL 2024 auction, creates a void.
However, LSG’s recent victory against RCB, where they secured their second consecutive win of the season, has bolstered their position on the points table, currently placing them at number four. With their next match against Gujarat Titans scheduled for April 7, LSG will look to maintain their momentum and continue their winning streak in Mavi’s absence.
