Virat Kohli has made a strong comeback into the top five of the latest ICC ODI rankings for batters. The Indian batting star received a significant boost after his brilliant century in the high-pressure match against Pakistan.
Kohli Climbs to Fifth; Gill, Babar Retain Spots

Kohli’s match-winning hundred against Pakistan propelled him one place to fifth in the rankings. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill continues to dominate the ODI charts. The Indian opener has been outstanding in the Champions Trophy, scoring 147 runs at an impressive average. His consistent form has helped him maintain the No. 1 spot.
Pakistan’s Babar Azam holds onto second place despite a below-par Champions Trophy campaign. However, the gap between Gill and Babar has widened, with Gill now leading by 47 points.
Major Movers in ICC ODI Rankings
Several players have made notable jumps in the latest update. England’s Ben Duckett surged 27 places to 17th, while New Zealand’s Will Young (up eight places to 14th) and Rachin Ravindra (up 18 places to 24th) also gained significantly after scoring centuries in the Champions Trophy.
Among other batters, KL Rahul moved up two spots to 15th, and Rassie van der Dussen climbed three places to 16th.
Bowlers Make Big Gains
On the bowling front, Michael Bracewell made the most significant jump, climbing 31 places to 26th. Kagiso Rabada (up four places to 16th), Matt Henry (up two spots to sixth), and Adam Zampa (up two places to 10th) also made notable strides due to their stellar performances.
