The match was then called off, with both teams awarded one point. Both teams shared the points. This result continues England’s streak of not beating any European nation in a T20 World Cup.
The match faced three interruptions: after the coin flip, during Scotland’s innings, and finally after the first innings, which led to the game’s cancellation.
Earlier, Scottish openers George Munsey (41) and Michael Jones (45) remained unbeaten, targeting England’s bowlers, particularly Chris Jordan and top-ranked Adil Rashid.
England, led by Jos Buttler, will face Australia next at the same venue on Saturday. Meanwhile, Scotland will play Namibia on Friday at Kensington Oval.
