In the ongoing Legends Cricket Trophy 2024 season, former Indian cricketer and CSK legend Suresh Raina showcased his brilliance with a majestic 35-ball 50* against New York Superstar Strikers in match number six.

As the captain of Delhi Devils at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Raina’s exceptional innings stood out amidst a struggling batting line-up, resulting in the team’s second consecutive defeat.
Opting to field first after winning the toss, Raina’s decision saw New York Superstar Strikers posting a formidable total of 185-6. Despite a challenging target of 186, the Delhi Devils faced early setbacks with both openers departing early to Isuru Udana’s skillful bowling.
Entering the crease at 14-2 in the third over, Raina led a valiant effort, single-handedly steering the team with his trademark counterattacking style to reach 135-5 by the end of the innings.
Despite Raina’s heroic performance, Delhi Devils fell short by 50 runs, marking their second loss in the tournament. Next, Raina’s team will take on Punjab Royals in match number 10 of the Legends Cricket Trophy 2024 season on March 13 at the iconic Pallekele venue.
