Shikhar Dhawan will join Chris Gayle in the Gujarat team for the upcoming third edition of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) in 2024. Dhawan, who recently retired from international cricket, signed with the Gujarat management on August 29. The LLC 2024 season promises a star-studded lineup, featuring several international cricket legends.
In addition to Dhawan and Gayle, the Gujarat team boasts a mix of international and Indian stars, including Liam Plunkett, Morne Van Wyk, Lendl Simmons, Asghar Afghan, Jerome Taylor, Mohammad Kaif, and S Sreesanth. The Manipal Tigers team features Harbhajan Singh, Robin Uthappa, Sri Lankans Thisara Perera and Angelo Perera, West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell, and Australian all-rounder Dan Christian.
The Southern Superstars will feature Dinesh Karthik and Parthiv Patel, along with Kedar Jadhav, Abdur Razzak, and Suranga Lakmal. Meanwhile, Suresh Raina will headline Hyderabad’s team, accompanied by Stuart Binny, Isuru Udana, and Chadwick Walton. Meanwhile, the India Capitals will feature Ashley Nurse, Ben Dunk, Dwayne Smith, Colin de Grandhomme, Murali Vijay, and Ian Bell.
The Pathan brothers, Irfan and Yusuf, will play for the Konark Suryas Odisha team, along with Vinay Kumar. Additionally, Ross Taylor, Ambati Rayudu, and Richard Levi will join them. The LLC 2024 season will start in mid-September and run for about a month, featuring six teams competing for the title.
