Samit Dravid, Rahul Dravid’s Son, Selected for India U-19 Squad for Australia Series

On Saturday, August 31, the BCCI announced the India U-19 squads for their upcoming multi-format tour against Australia U-19. A notable inclusion is Samit Dravid, son of the legendary Rahul Dravid.

One-Day Series Squad:

Schedule for India U-19 vs Australia U-19 Series

The teams will face off in Puducherry for three one-day matches starting on September 21. Chennai will host the four-day games, starting on September 30. All matches will begin at 9:30 am IST.

Samit Dravid, though a promising player, has struggled recently, scoring above 30 only once and failing to reach double figures in five of his seven appearances in the Maharaja Trophy. He will aim to live up to his father’s legacy in this series.

Australia U-19 Squad Highlights

Cricket Australia has also named their U-19 squad for the tour, which includes Vishwa Ramkumar, an Indian-origin leg-spinner. Ramkumar plays age-group cricket for Victoria and represents the Dandenong Cricket Club. He is among the 16 players selected for the tour.

Thomas Brown, Simon Budge, Zac Curtain, Riley Kingsell, Alex Lee-Young, Steven Hogan, Lincoln Hobbs, Harry Hoekstra, Christian Howe, Aidan O’Connor, Ollie Patterson, Ollie Peake, Vishwa Ramkumar, Lachlan Ranaldo, Hayden Schiller, and Addison Sheriff.
