England leg-spinner Adil Rashid has reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the ICC T20I bowling rankings after his consistent performances in the series against India. He was instrumental in England’s 26-run win in the third T20I in Rajkot, conceding just 15 runs in his four-over spell. Rashid also delivered economical figures of 1 for 14 and 1 for 27 in the earlier games. He first reached the top ranking in 2023 and held it for nearly a year before Akeal Hosein overtook him in late 2024.

India’s Varun Chakravarthy made a massive jump in the rankings, moving up 25 places to No. 5 after his five-wicket haul in the third T20I. England’s Jofra Archer also climbed 13 spots, placing him just behind Chakravarthy after taking five wickets in three matches. Arshdeep Singh maintained his ninth rank, while Ravi Bishnoi slipped from fifth to 10th. Axar Patel moved up five places to No. 11.
In the T20I batting rankings, India’s Tilak Varma moved up from third to second place, closing in on leader Travis Head. With scores of 18, 72*, and 19* in the ongoing series, Tilak now trails Head by 23 points. If he continues his form in the remaining games, he could surpass Head, becoming the youngest-ever No. 1 T20I batter. Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma surged 59 places but remains at No. 40.
In Test cricket, Pakistan’s Noman Ali rose four places to No. 5 after his 10-wicket match haul against West Indies, despite Pakistan losing the second Test. Jomel Warrican climbed 16 spots to 25th after taking nine wickets. Jasprit Bumrah leads the Test bowling rankings, while Joe Root remains the top-ranked Test batter.
