MI Cape Town has strengthened its squad for SA20 Season 3 with the return of star leg-spinner Rashid Khan. Rashid, who previously played for MI Cape Town in Season 1, is known for his exceptional bowling skills, having taken nine wickets at an economy rate of 6.92 in ten matches.

For the new season, MI Cape Town has added notable players such as England’s Test captain Ben Stokes. New Zealand’s swing-bowler Trent Boult will also join the squad. Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai, key in Afghanistan’s T20 World Cup semi-final run, is also included. These additions aim to strengthen MI Cape Town’s lineup for a competitive season.
Rashid Khan continues to impress with his performances. In the Global T20 Canada, he was the top wicket-taker for the Montreal Tigers, claiming 11 wickets at an average of 8.81. However, he is currently sidelined due to a hamstring injury, which has kept him out of The Hundred 2024.
MI Cape Town’s squad for 2025 remains strong with key players like Dewald Brevis, Kagiso Rabada, and Chris Benjamin. The team is set to compete fiercely in the upcoming season, bolstered by both returning stars and new talent.
