In a setback for the Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) IPL 2024 campaign, fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been sidelined due to surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon. This marks his second consecutive season absence for the Royals.
Despite his recent Test debut, Krishna’s aspirations for this IPL season have been shattered by this unfortunate injury. However, on a positive note, Rishabh Pant has been declared fully fit for IPL 2024, while Gujarat Titans will miss the services of star pacer Shami.
In a bid to bolster their bowling arsenal, the Royals have acquired Avesh Khan from the Lucknow Super Giants. With a blend of seasoned campaigners and promising youngsters such as Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, and R Ashwin, the squad exhibits a diverse range of talent.
As the IPL draws near, all eyes are on the Royals’ potential playing XI. With a combination of experience and youth, the team aims to surmount Krishna’s absence and launch a formidable bid for the title.
Probable Playing XI for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024:
- Jos Buttler
- Yashasvi Jaiswal
- Sanju Samson
- Riyan Parag
- Dhruv Jurel
- Shimron Hetmyer
- Rovman Powell
