Prasidh Krishna Ruled Out of First Duleep Trophy 2024 Match Due to Injury

India’s pace bowler Prasidh Krishna will miss Team A’s first Duleep Trophy match due to a lingering injury. The Duleep Trophy, which kicks off on September 5, features several top players. Prasidh, a key member of Team A led by Shubman Gill, is missing the opening game due to a lingering injury he suffered in February 2024.

As reported by Cricbuzz, the 28-year-old fast bowler is still recovering from a left quadriceps injury he sustained during a Ranji Trophy match between Karnataka and Gujarat earlier this year. Team A will be without Prasidh Krishna, and they have not named a replacement yet.

Prasidh Krishna

Prasidh Krishna has been a significant player for India in limited-overs cricket. In 17 ODI matches, he has taken 29 wickets with an economy rate of 5.60, and in 5 T20Is, he has claimed 8 wickets at an average of 27.50. His most recent international appearance was during India’s tour of South Africa, where he took one wicket in the second Test at Cape Town.

As Prasidh continues to recover, Team A will need to adapt their strategy for the Duleep Trophy opener.
