Following his remarkable performance in the IPL 2024 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), experienced Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Sunil Narine attributed his resurgence to the support provided by the franchise’s support staff, particularly mentor Gautam Gambhir. Narine’s explosive knock of 47 runs off just 22 deliveries played a pivotal role in KKR’s victory, despite RCB setting an imposing target of 182/6 in the first innings.
Even though RCB’s Virat Kohli batted well with 83 runs, Sunil Narine’s strong batting at the start changed the game for KKR, reminding people of his best performances. Narine thanked KKR’s support team for always being there for him, stressing how believing in yourself and working hard can make a big difference.
Narine’s outstanding contribution not only helped KKR secure their first away win of IPL 2024 but also earned him the prestigious ‘Player of the Match’ award.
