PCB Names Muhammad Wasim as Pakistan Women’s Head Coach for Asia Cup 2024

The Women’s Asia Cup 2024 is scheduled to begin on July 19th, and ahead of the tournament, PCB has appointed Muhammad Wasim as the new head coach. Wasim, a former middle-order batter and chief selector, will lead the team with support from Abdur Rehman as spin-bowling coach and Junaid Khan as assistant coach. The coaching staff also includes Hanif Malik as fielding coach and Hina Munawar as manager.

A training camp for 28 players has commenced in Karachi to prepare for the tournament, which precedes the T20 World Cup. The Asia Cup will feature eight teams, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Malaysia, Thailand, and hosts Sri Lanka.
