PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced that Pakistan’s cricketers will participate in a ten-day training camp with the Pakistan Army from March 25 to April 8. The initiative aims to enhance their fitness levels ahead of upcoming fixtures, including the T20 World Cup, emphasizing the importance of players’ fitness and commitment to national duties.

Naqvi emphasized the need for players to prioritize national commitments over T20 leagues, citing examples from his own experience. He urged players to make Pakistan their first priority and underscored the significance of representing the country with dedication.
Despite potential challenges such as the camp coinciding with Ramadan, Naqvi highlighted the benefits of military involvement in training, drawing parallels to Misbah-ul-Haq’s successful camp before a Test series against England.
Naqvi assured players that the PCB would spare no expense in securing the best coaching staff, emphasizing their commitment to investing in cricket development at all levels.
