Pakistan to Replace Agha Salman with Abrar and Jamal for 2nd Test Against Bangladesh

Reports suggest that Pakistan may replace Agha Salman with seam-bowling all-rounder Aamir Jamal for the second Test against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Pakistan, led by Shan Masood, suffered a heavy ten-wicket defeat in the first Test, with Bangladesh dominating the match.

With Pakistan trailing 0-1 in the series, the team faces the risk of losing the series if they don’t win this game. To address this, Pakistan is considering dropping Salman, who had a disappointing performance with both bat and ball in the previous Test.

According to PTI, Aamir Jamal is a likely inclusion in the playing XI due to his strong all-round capabilities. Jamal had a significant impact during Pakistan’s tour of Australia last year, contributing effectively with both bat and ball. His addition should strengthen Pakistan’s bowling attack and maintain their batting depth.

“The plan is to enhance the bowling options by including Abrar Ahmed and Jamal, who can also bat well and fit in at number seven instead of Salman Ali Agha,” a source told PTI. Additionally, Abrar Ahmed is set to replace Mohammad Ali, who was inconsistent in the first Test. Pakistan’s lack of a reliable spinner in the last game prompted the decision to include Ahmed, aiming to strengthen their spin department for this crucial match.
