In a must-win game for Pakistan in the women’s Asia Cup T20 tournament, an unchanged Pakistan side won the toss and chose to bowl against the United Arab Emirates. UAE captain Esha Oza also wanted to bowl but accepted the outcome.
UAE made one change, bringing in offspinner Suraksha Kotte to replace pacer Rithika Rajith.

Pakistan, having lost their opening game against India but bouncing back with a nine-wicket win over Nepal, needs a win today to secure a semi-final spot. A loss would leave them depending on India defeating Nepal later in the day, and a favorable net run rate. UAE is already out of contention after losing their first two games.
The match is set to be played on pitch No. 6 in Dambulla under hot and humid conditions. The pitch has less grass, and Isobel Joyce noted that pacers will need to bowl aggressively to get any seam movement.
