Rohit Sharma Discusses Indian Team's Mindset Before Semi-Final

Coming off three consecutive wins in the super-eights, India enters the semi-final with strong confidence and a chance to avenge their 10-wicket loss to England in 2022.

Rohit Sharma on Team Mindset

Rohit Sharma emphasized the importance of treating the semi-final like any other game in the tournament. He said, “We want to treat this game as another game that we have played in this tournament. Everyone knows in the back of their mind it’s a semi-final. But you don’t want to keep talking about it again and again and again and not to think about what has happened in the past.”

Regarding the team’s mindset and performance, Rohit added, “All of us are in a good frame of mind. We are playing well as a team, enjoying each other’s company and success at times as well. We’ve been put under pressure in certain games during this tournament as well, but we responded pretty well. And that is probably because we’re not thinking too far ahead.”

The India-England match will follow the first semi-final between Afghanistan and South Africa. The winners of both games will face each other on the morning of June 28 at Kensington Oval, Barbados.
