During the first ODI between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, Mushfiqur Rahim displayed exceptional wicketkeeping skills by taking a brilliant catch. The catch dismissed Sadeera Samarawickrama off Tanzim Hasan, who had already claimed two wickets.

The remarkable catch occurred in the 13th over of the Sri Lankan innings, bowled by Sakib. Having already dismissed Pathum Nissanka and Avishka Fernando, Sakib induced an outside edge from Samarawickrama’s bat with a short delivery.
Despite the ball flying towards first slip, Mushfiqur Rahim’s dived to his right and grasped the catch, denying Samarawickrama, who had been in impressive form. Following the catch, Sri Lanka faced a batting collapse, leaving them at 84 for three in 13.1 overs.
Currently, Sri Lanka is positioned at 187 for four, with Kusal Mendis and Janith Liyanage stabilizing the innings.
