Following their emphatic victory over Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 final, the Mumbai cricket team is celebrating a double windfall. They not only secured their record-extending 42nd Ranji Trophy title, but the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has also announced a significant boost in bonus prize money.

As per a statement issued by MCA secretary Ajinkya Naik, MCA president Amol Kale, along with the Apex Council, decided to double the prize money for the Ranji Trophy champions. This generous gesture acknowledges the team’s remarkable achievement and further highlights the Mumbai Cricket Association’s commitment to recognizing and supporting the accomplishments of its teams across various age groups in BCCI tournaments.
This decision underscores the significance of the Ranji Trophy victory. The additional ₹5 crore bonus prize money serves as a testament to Mumbai’s continued dominance in domestic cricket.
