New Zealand’s star all-rounder, Mitchell Santner, will miss the initial T20I against Pakistan due to testing positive for COVID-19 on Friday. The clash with the 2022 T20 World Cup finalist is scheduled for January 12 at Auckland’s Eden Park, kicking off a five-match T20I series.
The 31-year-old won’t accompany the team and is advised to undergo isolation. Following isolation, Santner will independently travel to Hamilton, his home ground, for the second T20I.
