Following Kolkata Knight Riders’ impressive victory in the Indian Premier League final against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Trinamool Congress leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee commended the team’s achievement.
KKR secured their third IPL title under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, dominating the final match with an 8-wicket win at the Chepauk stadium in Chennai.
Expressing her delight, Mamata Banerjee shared her congratulations to the players, support staff, and the franchise for their exceptional performance throughout the season. Additionally, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah joined in extending his congratulations to KKR for their remarkable achievement. He praised the team’s consistency throughout the tournament and commended Shreyas Iyer for his exemplary leadership.
Shah also expressed gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support, emphasizing their significant contribution to yet another successful season of the IPL.
