Shakib Al Hasan’s exclusion from Bangladesh’s ODI and T20I squads against Sri Lanka due to an eye condition has stirred discussions. Despite his recent explosive innings for Rangpur Riders in a BPL game, Shakib has expressed concerns about his batting form, shuffling positions in recent matches.
Chief selector Minhajul Abedin, concluding his eight-year tenure, announced the squads with six changes. Notably, the omission of vice-captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz stood out, while Mahmudullah, with consistent BPL performances, makes a return to the T20I side after over a year.
