Bangladesh sealed a dominant 3-0 series win over West Indies with an 80-run victory in the third T20I at the Arnos Vale Ground. Posting a challenging 189 for 7, Bangladesh bowled West Indies out for just 109, their lowest total against Bangladesh. This marked Bangladesh’s first 3-0 series sweep in nearly two years and their second-biggest victory margin in T20Is.
Jaker Ali was the star once again, finishing unbeaten on 72 off 41 balls. His explosive knock, which included six sixes and three fours, followed a dramatic mix-up earlier in the innings that led to him re-entering the field after a third umpire’s review. Parvez Hossain Emon gave Bangladesh a strong start with a quickfire 39 off 21 balls, including two sixes, before being dismissed in the powerplay.
After a brief collapse, Jaker took control, striking a crucial partnership with Shamim Hossain. Despite some dramatic run-out moments and communication errors, Jaker capitalized, smashing McCoy and Joseph for three sixes in the final over, propelling Bangladesh to their highest-ever T20I total in the West Indies.
West Indies struggled from the outset, losing five wickets before reaching 50. Rishad Hossain played a key role with the ball, taking 3 for 21, including the wickets of Rovman Powell, Gudakesh Motie, and Alzarri Joseph. Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud also contributed with early breakthroughs, while Mahedi Hasan and Tanzim Hasan Sakib claimed key middle-order wickets to complete the rout.
With their comprehensive win, Bangladesh ended a successful tour, earning their first T20I series sweep since 2022.
