The IPL 2025 mega auction is just around the corner, promising excitement and big-ticket signings. This year’s auction will feature marquee players like Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul, with franchises strategizing to fill crucial slots. The grand event will unfold in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, making it only the second overseas IPL auction.

The two-day event will unfold on Friday, November 24, and Saturday, November 25, starting at 3:00 PM (IST) each day. Fans can catch the live action on Star Sports Network or stream it online via JioCinema. Mallika Sagar, who led the proceedings last year, will return as the auctioneer for 2025.
This year, 574 players are in the pool, including 366 Indians and 208 overseas talents. Among them, 330 uncapped players will compete for a spot in the league. Teams will compete to fill 204 slots, with 70 reserved for overseas players.
Franchises have varying purse sizes to finalize their squads. Punjab Kings lead with ₹110.5 crores, followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore at ₹86 crores and Delhi Capitals with ₹73 crores. Defending champions Gujarat Titans hold ₹69 crores, alongside Lucknow Super Giants. Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders have ₹55 crores and ₹51 crores, respectively, while Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians each retain ₹45 crores. Rajasthan Royals complete the list with ₹41 crores.
