Sri Lanka cricket is currently facing significant challenges and is in need of a resurgence. Once known for their match-winning performances, Sri Lanka has struggled in recent marquee events. Their disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 group stage, where they managed only one win, reflects their current form. Moreover, the Sri Lanka cricket board has been suspended temporarily by the ICC, amidst allegations of political interference in cricketing affairs.
