Ahead of the September 8 draft, six teams secured their icon and global star signings. The Bulawayo Braves Jaguars have signed David Warner, Carlos Brathwaite, Nick Hobson, and Kobe Herft. Warner’s extensive experience across all formats of cricket is set to elevate the competition and attract global attention. His move to the Zim Afro T10 League follows his retirement from international cricket after Australia’s exit from the 2024 T20 World Cup, marking his full-time transition to franchise leagues.

Warner has also committed to a two-year extension with the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League (BBL). This will be his first full-time participation in the BBL, as previous international schedules conflicted with the tournament. With his retirement from international cricket, Warner will fully immerse himself in domestic T20 competitions, including the BBL.
