In a thrilling match at Warner Park in St. Kitts, the seventh game of CPL 2024 featured an astonishing run feast between the Guyana Amazon Warriors and the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The teams combined for 492 runs in just 38 overs, highlighting a batting paradise.

Warriors Dominate with Strong Partnership
After winning the toss, the Warriors opted to bat first and were soon propelled by a powerful partnership between Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Shimron Hetmyer. The duo quickly added 116 runs off just 47 balls, thereby setting a strong foundation for their innings. As a result, the Warriors finished their 20 overs with an impressive total of 266/7, marking not only the highest score of CPL 2024 but also the second-highest in the tournament’s history.
Hetmyer’s Rare Feat
Hetmyer, in particular, achieved a remarkable feat during his innings. Scoring 91 runs off 39 balls with 11 sixes and no fours, Hetmyer became the first player to hit over ten sixes in an innings without hitting a single four. This achievement stands out because batters typically find hitting fours easier than smashing sixes.
Despite a fierce chase by the Patriots, led by captain Andre Fletcher who scored 81 off 33 balls, they fell short. The Patriots ended their innings at 226, allowing the Warriors to secure a 40-run victory.
