India clinched the T20 World Cup on June 29, 2024, ending an 11-year wait. Under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, India delivered a stellar performance throughout the tournament, culminating in a thrilling final against South Africa. India set a target of 177 runs, thanks to Virat Kohli’s 76 and Axar Patel’s 47. Despite a strong effort from Heinrich Klaasen, who scored 52, South Africa fell short by seven runs. India’s bowlers, led by Hardik Pandya and supported by Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Axar Patel, secured the win with disciplined bowling.
