Singh joined Uttar Pradesh’s playing XI as they aimed to bounce back after drawing their match against Bengal last week. The match took place at the Sports Galaxy Cricket Ground in Lucknow, where Haryana captain Ankit Kumar won the toss and opted to bat first. Singh’s return adds significant firepower to the UP lineup, while Haryana boasts notable Indian internationals like Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal.

In his recent outings for India, Rinku showcased his talent by scoring 53 and an unbeaten 8 in successive matches against Bangladesh, contributing to India’s 3-0 series win. He was also part of the squad that clinched series victories in Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in the months prior.

Last month, Rinku played under captain Abhimanyu Easwaran in the Duleep Trophy, making his presence felt on the domestic stage. With Rinku back in the fold, Aryan Juyal and the Uttar Pradesh team will be eager to secure their first win of the Ranji Trophy 2024 season, following a drawn opening match against Bengal, where they lost crucial points due to a first-innings lead.
