Rishabh Pant, India’s dynamic wicketkeeper-batter, paid a heartfelt tribute to his late coach, Tarak Sinha, on the second anniversary of his passing. Sinha, who passed away on November 6, 2021, was a mentor to several cricketers, including Pant, and played a pivotal role in shaping his career.

Pant took to social media to reflect on the enduring impact Sinha had on him. Sharing an emotional message on Instagram, Pant wrote, “It’s been three years since our sir Mr. Tarak Sinha left us, yet his presence feels as strong as ever. The time without him has been long, filled with memories of his wisdom, guidance, and the warmth he brought into our lives. His legacy continues to inspire and guide us. Thank you, sir.”

Pant also posted a nostalgic throwback photo from his early training days with Sinha at the Sonnet Cricket Club, where Sinha nurtured young talents. His tribute highlighted the lasting influence of his coach’s mentorship, which continues to inspire him both on and off the field.

In addition to honoring his coach, Pant is celebrating a career milestone. His stellar performances in the recent Test series against New Zealand earned him a career-high ranking in the ICC Test Batter’s standings. Pant scored 261 runs across three matches, including a near-century and two half-centuries, propelling him to sixth place in the rankings with a rating of 750.

As Pant gears up for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, his excellent form, coupled with the inspiration from his late coach, will undoubtedly be crucial in India’s challenge against Australia.
