Jasprit Bumrah, celebrated as a hero for India in their triumphant T20 World Cup 2024 campaign, has now received the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for June. After earning the Player of the Tournament title in the T20 World Cup 2024, Bumrah maintained his exceptional form to secure this prestigious monthly accolade.

Throughout the tournament held in the USA and Caribbean, the 30-year-old showcased his exceptional skills, claiming a total of 15 wickets at an impressive average of 8.26 and an economical rate of 4.17. His pivotal contributions included standout performances such as 3/6 against Ireland and a match-defining 3/14 against Pakistan. During the Super Eights stage, Bumrah continued to excel, securing six wickets in three matches.
His crucial spells in the semi-final against England (2/12) and the final against South Africa (2/18) further underscored his reliability under pressure, ultimately aiding India in lifting the T20 World Cup trophy in Barbados.
Expressing his gratitude upon receiving the award, Bumrah acknowledged the support of his family, teammates, coaches, and fans. He also congratulated his captain Rohit Sharma and Rahmanullah Gurbaz for their outstanding performances during the same period. Reflecting on the honor, Bumrah emphasized the special significance of this achievement, marking a memorable chapter in his cricketing career.
