During the IPL 2024 match between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mullanpur, Heinrich Klaasen showcased exceptional wicketkeeping skills reminiscent of MS Dhoni‘s early days. In a crucial moment, he swiftly stumped Shikhar Dhawan off a delivery by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, clocked at 140 kph.

Dhawan, tasked with leading Sunrisers Hyderabad‘s chase of 183 runs, faced a setback due to Bhuvneshwar‘s superb bowling. Klaasen‘s proactive stance behind the stumps paid off, as he successfully executed the stumping, dismissing Dhawan.
As the match progressed, Punjab Kings found themselves at 51/3 after 8.3 overs, with Sikandar Raza and Sam Curran at the crease, scoring 10* and 22* respectively. They needed 132 runs off 69 balls for a remarkable victory.
Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a competitive total of 182/9, thanks to Nitish Reddy’s impressive knock of 64 runs off 37 balls, after Punjab Kings asked them to bat first.
