In a significant move for the Global T20 Canada 2024 season, the Vancouver Knights have bolstered their squad by signing three of Pakistan’s top cricket stars: Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Mohammad Amir.

After their first-round exit in the 2024 T20 World Cup, the Pakistan cricket team, led by acclaimed batter Babar Azam, returned home. Critics pointed out that the team lacked the modern approach needed to compete effectively.
Despite this setback, Pakistani cricketers are gearing up for their next assignment in the Global T20 Canada League, which runs from July 25 to August 10.
Vancouver Knights Sign Pakistan Trio for Upcoming Season
To strengthen their lineup, the Vancouver Knights have made key signings ahead of the tournament. The Knights, who finished as second runners-up in the 2023 season, aim to win the title this year. To boost their chances, they have signed Pakistan’s star players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Mohammad Amir.
Babar Azam, one of Pakistan’s best modern-day batters, boasts impressive T20 statistics. Mohammad Rizwan, another top-order batter, takes a fearless approach and consistently scores runs at a healthy strike rate. Mohammad Amir, a left-arm pacer who recently came out of international retirement, impressed with seven wickets in four games during the T20 World Cup.
Additionally, the Vancouver Knights have signed Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane from Nepal to finalize their squad for the season.
