In the PSL 2024 clash at Karachi’s National Stadium, Multan Sultans’ vice-captain David Willey showcased his bowling prowess against Quetta Gladiators’ skipper Rilee Rossouw.
David Willey’s pivotal performance commenced in the third over when he dismissed Jason Roy, trapping him leg before wicket, providing an early breakthrough for Multan Sultans.
But, David Willey’s best moment came in the fifth over when he bowled a perfect yorker to knock down Rossouw’s stumps. Rossouw’s early dismissal increased pressure on Quetta Gladiators, leading to their collapse, and they scored only 106 runs.
In the first innings, led by Mohammad Rizwan’s composed 69 off 47 balls, Multan Sultans posted a competitive total of 185 runs. Contributions from Johnson Charles and Iftikhar Ahmed further bolstered their innings, securing a strong finish for Multan.
