The 2024 season of the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Basketball Series has set new digital engagement records, showcasing a remarkable surge in popularity and viewership. The series, which comprised 20 stops culminating in an electrifying Final, garnered an impressive 50 million impressions across its digital platforms—marking a 51% increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, the Women’s Series recorded 41 million views in 2024, reflecting a staggering 64% rise from 2023.
This growth in digital engagement underscores the thrilling nature of the fast-paced 3×3 basketball format and the world-class talent on display. The commitment to connecting with fans was evident, as the series achieved 2.7 million engagements in 2024, a 35% increase from the prior year. Canadian 3×3 basketball star Michelle Plouffe emphasized the significance of the series, stating, “The Women’s Series gives a lot of opportunities for women to play international basketball. 3×3 is a lot of fun, and the Women’s Series is the highest level of competition.”
The FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series 2024 Final witnessed a remarkable spike in digital engagement, with impressions soaring to 5.6 million—up from 2.6 million in 2023. Viewership also experienced a dramatic rise, increasing by 150% to 4.5 million from 1.8 million. Furthermore, total engagements surged by 90%, reaching 200,000 compared to 100,000 the previous year.
