Multan Sultans continued their dominant streak in the Pakistan Super League, securing their sixth win in seven games and clinching a spot in the playoffs with a commanding 20-run victory over Karachi Kings.

Usman Khan, representing the United Arab Emirates, stole the show by smashing the fastest century of the season, scoring an unbeaten 106 off just 58 deliveries. Captain Mohammad Rizwan also contributed significantly with 58 runs as Multan posted a formidable total of 189 for 3 after opting to bat first.
In response, Karachi Kings struggled to mount a serious challenge and could only manage 169 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs, suffering their third consecutive home defeat. Skipper Shan Masood’s dismissal for 36 by Usama Mir, who now leads the tournament’s wicket-takers with 15 scalps, set the tone for Karachi’s faltering chase.
The partnership between Usman and Rizwan, worth 148 runs off 93 balls, proved to be the cornerstone of Multan’s innings. Despite Rizwan’s dismissal after reaching his fifty, Usman continued his onslaught, reaching his century with a pulled six in the final over.
Karachi Kings’ overseas signings, Tim Seifert and James Vince, fell early during the batting powerplay, adding to their team’s woes. Shoaib Malik’s 38 was the highest score for Karachi before he was caught at long off in the 12th over.
Overall, Karachi Kings suffered from several soft dismissals, failing to sustain any significant partnerships during the run chase.
Multan Sultans’ dominant performance solidified their position at the top of the standings with 12 points, while Karachi Kings languish in fifth place with just two wins from six games.
