Despite a few setbacks in the middle overs, her composed batting ensured Mumbai’s victory. Ismail’s brilliant start with the ball set the tone for Mumbai’s dominance, with her scalping key wickets early on.
Gujarat Giants struggled to find momentum, losing wickets at regular intervals. However, Kathryn Bryce and Tanuja Kanwar staged a brief recovery, adding crucial runs towards the end. Bryce’s all-round contribution, including a vital wicket, showcased her value to the team.
Kanwar’s impressive bowling spell kept Mumbai on their toes, but Harmanpreet’s experience and composure ultimately guided Mumbai to victory. With this win, Mumbai maintained their unbeaten record against Gujarat Giants in WPL encounters.
