The quarter-final lineup for the US Open 2024 is set, with both top seeds remaining in the running for tennis’ final Grand Slam of the year following the completion of the round of 16 on Monday, September 2.
In the women’s singles, world No. 1 Iga Swiatek continues to dominate, having yet to drop a set at this year’s tournament. She will face American favorite Jessica Pegula on Wednesday, September 4. The other quarter-final clash will feature Beatriz Haddad Maia against Karolina Muchova.
On Tuesday, September 3, the women’s draw will see a highly anticipated rematch of the 2024 Australian Open final as second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka takes on newly crowned Paris 2024 Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen. The remaining spot in the semi-finals will be decided between Emma Navarro and Paula Badosa.
The men’s singles also features an Australian Open final rematch as top seed Jannik Sinner squares off against 2021 US Open champion Daniil Medvedev on Wednesday.
