Aryna Sabalenka, holder of two Australian Open titles, secured a hard-fought victory over Emma Raducanu, prevailing 6-3, 7-5 in a challenging encounter. Despite facing multiple match points, Sabalenka eventually clinched the win, demonstrating her resilience on the court.

Meanwhile, reigning Grand Slam champions Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka progressed to the fourth round of the ATP-WTA Indian Wells Masters with impressive straight-set victories. However, former world number one Naomi Osaka suffered a setback, exiting the tournament after a 7-5, 6-4 defeat against Elise Mertens.

Sabalenka, playing only her second event since her triumph at Melbourne Park, showcased her dominance with a solid performance, winning 13 of her 15 matches this season. Additionally, French player Gael Monfils emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter against 2021 champion Cameron Norrie, prevailing 6-7 (5/7), 7-6 (7/5), 6-3.
