Traveling on a Vistara aircraft, the team received special honors for their historic win. Vistara tweeted that they named the flight carrying the players ‘UK1845’ to honor Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who retired after winning the final.
Upon landing in Mumbai, Vistara welcomed the Indian team with a ‘water salute.’ Fans have gathered in large numbers at Wankhede Stadium, chanting the names of their favorite stars and enjoying the celebration.
